Mailbind

Who Mailbind is for

Six trades whose mail arrives at several addresses and matters to someone else. Each page describes that shape, and says plainly what Mailbind does not do for it.

One product, read six ways. This is what all six are looking at.

Why a page per trade rather than one feature list

Because the features are the same and the problems are not. A freelancer’s difficulty is that four addresses split their attention; an agency’s is that the mailboxes belong to clients and must not leak into each other; a lawyer’s is where the copy of a confidential message is kept. The same shared inbox solves a support queue and a practice’s general address for completely different reasons.

Each page is written from the shape of that job’s mail: how many addresses, who else touches them, what the obligations are, and which plan that implies. Where a trade has legal duties, the page says to check them rather than claiming a compliance on anyone’s behalf.

The six

  • Freelancers — four addresses and one person, on a flat €12 a month.
  • Agencies — a mailbox per client, shared only with that account’s people.
  • Accountants — attachments, deadlines and a practice address more than one person answers.
  • Estate agents — portal leads that reward speed, and a legal tail that rewards snooze.
  • Ecommerce support — a shared queue in several languages, with handover.
  • Lawyers — confidential correspondence, and a straight answer about where the copy lives.

What is true for all of them

Mailbind connects over IMAP and SMTP to the mailboxes you already own, shows them in one list with one search, and sends a reply from the mailbox that received the message through that account’s own server. Nothing is migrated and nothing is relayed through us. Mailbox credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, the copy is hosted in the European Union, the audit log is kept three months, and the data processing agreement is published.

And what is not: no tickets, no SLA reporting, no help centre, no CSAT, no chat, no SMS, no social inboxes, no calendar, no CRM integrations, no Exchange, no native desktop build and no self-hosting. Every page in this family repeats the limits that matter for its trade, because finding them out in week two is worse than reading them now.

The three questions worth asking before any of it

First: how many addresses does one person answer? If the answer is one, almost any client will do and your provider’s webmail is free. If it is four or more, the cost is not volume but split attention, and that is the problem Mailbind is shaped around.

Second: does anyone else answer the same address? A shared address is the point at which forwarding and shared passwords start costing real money, and it is the line between the Pro plan and the Team plan.

Third: who else’s data is in that mailbox? A freelancer’s own mail and a lawyer’s client correspondence deserve different amounts of reading before you sign up. The security page and the data processing agreement are published for exactly that reading.

Plans, in one line each

  • Free — two mailboxes, the unified inbox, threads, search, snooze, rules, smart folders, offline outbox, three languages. No card.
  • Pro, €12 a month or €120 a year — unlimited mailboxes, AI summaries and drafts, Needs-reply triage.
  • Team, €14 a month or €140 a year per member — shared inboxes, assignment, roles, internal notes, one invoice.
  • No VAT is added: Mailbind is sold under the French VAT franchise (art. 293 B du CGI).

Common questions

My trade is not listed. Does that mean it will not fit?

No. These six are the ones we know well enough to write about honestly. The use-case pages describe the same product by the job rather than the trade.

Which plan does my trade need?

Anything where more than one person answers one address needs Team. Everything else is Free for two mailboxes and Pro beyond that.

Do any of these pages claim a certification?

No. Mailbind publishes its security measures, its retention periods, its sub-processors and its data processing agreement, and has no certification to claim.

Can I talk to a person before buying?

Yes — the contact page has the address, and the person who answers is the person who wrote the code.
