Mailbind

Mailbind features

Mailbind is a web email client for people who live in more than one mailbox. It connects to the accounts you already own over IMAP and SMTP, shows them together, and sends from the right address without being asked.

One inbox over the mailboxes you already have

Mailbind does not host your email. It connects to Gmail, Outlook and Microsoft 365, iCloud, Yahoo, OVHcloud, IONOS, Infomaniak and any other server that speaks IMAP and SMTP, and keeps a synchronised copy so the list is instant and searchable. Your messages stay with your provider, which means leaving Mailbind costs you nothing but a disconnect.

Mailboxes can be read together in one unified list or one at a time. Threads are grouped across accounts, so a conversation that moved from your personal address to a client domain still reads as one conversation.

  • Presets for the common providers: pick the provider and the server names, ports and encryption are filled in.
  • Any other server by hand, with the host checked before it is saved.
  • Snooze a thread until it matters, let rules file mail as it arrives, and build smart folders from any set of conditions.
  • Installs as an app on desktop, iPhone and Android, keeps recent mail readable offline and queues what you write in an outbox that sends when you reconnect.

Built for people who juggle inboxes

Mailbind is aimed at three groups, and the features follow from them. Freelancers with a personal address, a company address and two client domains want one list and the right sender. Agencies want a shared queue per client without handing out passwords. Support teams want to know which messages are still waiting on a human, in whichever language they arrived in.

What those three have in common is that the number of mailboxes is not going down. Most email clients treat a second account as an exception to the first; Mailbind treats the plural as the normal case, which is why there is no primary account anywhere in the product.

  • Freelancers: every client address in one place, replies that cannot come from the wrong one.
  • Agencies: a shared inbox per client, with roles so a new account manager sees only their own.
  • Support teams: assignment, internal notes, Needs-reply triage and summaries on long threads.

Reading, organising and writing

The reader is deliberately plain. A message is sanitised, rendered in a sandboxed frame, and its remote images stay blocked until you ask for them — which also means a sender does not learn when you opened it. Attachments preview in place, and a PDF opens under a policy that allows it no scripts and no network.

Organising is built out of four things that compose: snooze a thread until a date, write a rule that files mail as it arrives, save any set of conditions as a smart folder, and search across every connected mailbox at once. Nothing here depends on your provider supporting it, because it is applied in Mailbind.

Writing has the parts that save a re-read: a signature per address, quoted text that collapses, attachments that upload while you type, and an outbox that holds a message when the network is gone and sends it when the network is back. Drafts survive a closed tab.

What each page covers

Common questions

Does Mailbind replace my email provider?

No. Mailbind is a client, not a mailbox. Your address, your domain and your archive stay with your provider; Mailbind reads and sends through them over IMAP and SMTP.

How many mailboxes can I connect?

Two on the Free plan, and as many as you like on Pro and Team. Mailboxes above a plan’s limit are paused rather than deleted if you ever move down a plan.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Mailbind installs from the browser on iPhone, Android and desktop, with a single-pane phone layout, swipe actions and push notifications.
