Why are images hidden in some emails?
Remote images can tell senders when and where you opened a message, so Mailbind blocks them until you say otherwise.
Updated October 27, 2026
What is blocked
Images loaded from the sender's server. Attached and inline images (like a signature) are shown.
Why
A remote image is a request to the sender's server: it reveals your IP address and the exact time you opened the email. Newsletters use invisible 1×1 pixels for exactly that.
Loading them
Tap Load images on the message. They are fetched through Mailbind's proxy, so the sender still doesn't see you. "Always for this sender" remembers your choice; the default for every sender is under Settings → Privacy.
